Millis Garden Club donates photography exhibit, finalizes winter 2027 exhibit
Samples of work found in the Millis Garden Club's 2026 Garden Photography Exhibit now installed on the second floor of the Memorial Building. Photos provided by Millis Garden
At a meeting of the Millis Select Board on Sept. 14, 2026, The Millis Garden donated its 2026 First Annual Garden Photography Exhibit to the town. It was accepted and approved to be installed on the second floor of the Memorial Building outside of the meeting room for all to enjoy.
The exhibit consists of photographs of various aspects of gardens in Millis, both public and private, donated by residents who shared glimpses of their back and front yard garden life. They range from single shots of a dahlia to a group of sentinel sunflowers to a cluster of birdhouses or gourds to a racoon family hiding in a tree. Each one a delight to behold, reflecting the heart of Millis.
Next exhibit
The second annual Garden Photography Exhibit, "Garden Story" will be held at the Millis Public Library commencing in January 2027 with submissions due at the library circulation desk by mid-December.
We invite Millis residents of any age again to submit your favorite garden story framed photo with a ring or wire for hanging. A variety of sizes and colors for frames and subjects is acceptable and there may be multiple photos in one frame if desired to tell your tale.
Title your photo if you want and identify it on the back with your name and address. Your photos are required to be taken in a Millis garden as this exhibit reflects the wide variety of efforts both public and private to create a beautiful community. You don't need to be an expert...your story is special and unique!
