With fall in complete residency, the Millis Garden Club continues to brighten the Millis landscape with mums, pumpkins, decorative cabbage and corn stalks. On any given day you might catch a glimpse of a member planting bulbs for a wondrous spring bouquet particularly in the two new gardens newly created.
The first garden is a charming sidewalk oasis on Exchange Street sponsored by businesses located nearby: Dan's Barbershop, Foreign Car Repair, Hair Salon, Luca's, and Victory Bar and Grille. Its featured flowering shrubs, perennials and spring bulbs are guaranteed to brighten your day after winter's bleakness.
The second garden is located in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Named "The Garden of Angels," it is a collaboration among the Cemetery Committee, the Department of Public Works, and the Millis Garden Club. An engraved rock surrounded by flowering shrubs, perennials, and spring bulbs commemorate the infants who rest there, celebrating their short lives and bringing comfort with their beauty.
