Millis Cultural Council applications due Oct. 15
Beginning Sept. 1, the Millis Cultural Council will be accepting grant proposals for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. The deadline for submissions is Oct. 15 to this website: https://www.mass-culture.org/millis
Priority will be given to proposals for programs that are (1) free and open to the public to benefit the Millis community; and (2) first-time submissions. Applicants are encouraged to include a sample of their work for consideration.
Please note Millis High School seniors can apply for funding to support their senior project requirement.
Proposal requirements include (1) a no-cost component for either participants and/or attendees (or some subset thereof), (2) proposed time frame of when the program will run, (3) if the program has received funding in the last three years, an explanation of actions to build the program’s sustainability; and (4) confirmation activity will take place within the town of Millis in the form of a letter from the organization or venue hosting (e.g., Millis Public Library, Millis Senior Center, Millis High School).
Through funds from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Millis Cultural Council was able to fund over $7,400 in the 2025-2026 cycle. These projects included concert series, dance classes, hands-on art instruction, digital art and photography classes, cooking classes, a fairy house garden, community theatre, cultural education and more for audiences ranging from children to seniors. If you have a creative idea that would enrich the arts and culture of the Millis community, send in your proposal.
