More than 800 people gathered on Aug. 20 for the first annual Millis Community Day. Attendees enjoyed family activities, food and entertainment at Millis Town Park.

The goal of the festivities, said organizers before the event, was to neighbors together to celebrate the people, places and traditions that make Millis home while fostering connection and community pride.

Alyson Rockwood, a member of the Town of Millis Community Day Planning Committee, said they it accomplished their goal and they will hold the event again next year.

The free event featured a variety of family-friendly activities, including a Kids Zone with bounce houses and face painting, a K9 demonstration, chili contest, food, entertainment and more.
