This summer, two classes graduated from the Millis Police Leadership Academy, one in June and one in July (July photos shown). Each session included 20 students and was five days long. Participants learned about traffic enforcement and radar guns, spent time with therapy dogs and learned about their role in the community, acted as detectives in a pseudo missing person case, interacted with Air Wing and MedFlight, went on the water with the Metro LEC Marine Unit, reviewed the department’s SWAT gear and detailed training, and ended the week with a graduation ceremony.
