113, 117 Main St. are within layout of Heritage on Main project 

At its meeting on July 22, the Medway Historical Commission approved a demolition application for the buildings at 113 and 117 Main St. after determining the structures “do not contribute to the historical nature of the Town of Medway.” 

The buildings are within the layout of the newly proposed “Heritage on Main” development and owned by the same developer, Rte. 85 Realty Corp. 

In June, the developer filed an “application to demolish a structure 75 or more years old,” in accordance with the town’s general bylaws. 

113 Main St.

According to the applications, available at https://medwayma.gov/current-applications-under-review/, 113 Main St. was built in 1940 and was acquired by the owner in May 2019. The structure is described as a “2-unit, 2,980-gsf ‘Office’ building with a hair salon and dental care business.” It is the former home of Medway Nutrition which moved in May. 

The building at 117 Main St. was built in 1920 and was also acquired by Rte. 85 Realty Corp. in 2019. It is described as a “3-unit, 8-984-gsf ‘Auto Sales/SR’ building with an auto sales, auto repair, and pool supply business.” It is the former home of Village Pool & Spa which recently closed, and Select Used Cars which recently moved to Millis.
