Applicant requested time to make revisions based on feedback

At the July 14 meeting of Medway’s Planning and Economic Development Board, the Heritage on Main public hearing was continued at the request of the applicant.  

“We heard a lot of good feedback and comments at the last hearing session,” said Jonathan Silverstein, attorney for the applicant Rte. 85 Realty Corp., referring to the June 9 meeting. “We’re working hard on revising the design and addressing a number of the other comments. We think that we’re going to hopefully hit a lot of the issues that came up both here and before [the] Design Review Board.”

“Sounds great; I think the public will be very happy,” said Board Chair Andy Rodenhiser.  

“I hope they will,” said Silverstein. 

The hearing was continued to Aug. 11 at 7:05 p.m. in the Medway Middle School Presentation Room.  

The initial presentation in June was to a standing-room-only crowd. That hearing lasted 2.5 hours and detailed plans for the 21-acre mixed use project currently designed to include four new buildings spanning the sites from the former Mobil gas station west to Elm Street. The quarter-mile project would include an Imperial Gas & Country Store, restaurant, bank, and four-story apartment complex with 267 units.
