The Town of Medway held a Special Town Meeting and its Annual Town Meeting on May 11.

Special Town Meeting articles included money transfers, digitizing records, and repurposing funds for the Memorial School roof to the McGovern bathroom project and high school air quality mitigation. 

Annual Town Meeting approved the:  

• purchase of Winthrop Street properties with CPA funds (unanimous);  

• disposition of 4.2 acres at 13 Populatic Street (unanimous); 

• executing a PILOT (payment in lieu of taxes) agreement with Medway Energy Center for the new battery energy storage project at 15 West St.; 

• amending general bylaws related to civil fingerprinting (unanimous); 

•amending zoning bylaws related to small clean energy facilities, central business uses, Oak Grove/Central Business District, municipal uses, and other housekeeping updates (all passed with majority vote). 

Other articles included the annual town budget, money transfers, field design for athletic fields ($50,000), and Lovering water tank rehabilitation ($1.8 million).
