The Charles River Chorale will present its Spring Concert, “It’s About Time: A Journey Through Memory and Moment,” at the Medway High School Auditorium on Sat., May 2, at 5 p.m. 

The concert opens with five-movement “Les Chansons des Roses,” an elegant choral cycle by acclaimed composer Morten Lauridsen, set to poetry by Rainer Maria Rilke. Lauridsen is the most frequently performed American choral composer in modern history. 

The second half shifts gears as a rock band joins the chorale for a lively set of songs exploring the theme of time – including favorites like “If I Could Turn Back Time” and “Time After Time.”  

Under the direction of Ashley Nelson-Oneschuk, the 100-voice Charles River Chorale promises a performance that will stir memories, lift spirits and remind audiences that some music is truly timeless.
