Body of Work Book Cover

The Millis Public Library will host local author E. L. Wilk (Elyse Wilk) for a program on independent publishing on Friday, April 3, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Roche Bros. Community Room Wall Gallery at the library, 961 Main St.

Wilk is the author of the award-nominated and critically acclaimed medical thriller Body of Work, which has appeared multiple times on Amazon’s Top 10 Medical Thriller list.

During the talk, Wilk will discuss how writers today research, write, publish, and promote books using modern tools, including digital platforms and artificial intelligence. The program will also offer a look at how independent publishing has changed the path to becoming an author.

Wilk will also demonstrate some of the tools writers now use to research and develop their work.

A Wellesley College graduate, Wilk lived in Weston for many years and now resides in Millis. Body of Work, her third novel, is set in Sherborn, Millis, Medway, Wellesley, and Dover.

The program will conclude with a discussion and book signing.
