“Omigod you guys!” You are not going to want to miss Medway High School’s Spring Musical Production of “Legally Blonde: The Musical”, coming to the stage on March 6th & 7th. ‘Bend and Snap’ your way to buy tickets using the QR code. If there ever was a perfect show this one qualifies!

We [authors] first auditioned for this show in early December and since then have had about three rehearsals a week including music rehearsals on Tuesdays from 3:00-6:00 P.M., and choreography rehearsals on Thursdays and Fridays from 6:00-9:00 P.M. Additionally, the three of us, as well as a few other castmates, have had private vocal coaching sessions with our music director before rehearsals some days, and work with our private voice teachers outside of school.
Outside of these rehearsal times, we still have to devote a large amount of time to practicing our lines, music, and choreography. It is a big commitment, but one that is extremely rewarding and fulfilling. Throughout this rehearsal process, not only have we become stronger performers but we also have had a lot of fun so far in the process.
The most memorable part of doing the musical is the special bonds that you build with all of your castmates. We especially love getting to know every one of our peers regardless of what grade they are in. Something unique about doing the musical is having the opportunity to step out of our comfort zones and get into character. We are able to leave all of our outside worries and problems at the door so we can “become the best that we can be!”. This welcoming atmosphere allows us to let loose and slip into the world of “Legally Blonde” while also keeping pieces of ourselves to help make each aspect our own.
We’d like to give a huge thanks to our incredible directing team: Ms. T, Mr. Simone, Ms. Molly, and Ms. Nelson for their endless dedication and support! We hope to see you at one of our three shows wearing pink because “whoever said orange is the new pink is seriously disturbed!”
