Cooking fires, arguing nieces, pantry squirrel, suspicious visitor
Between Nov 23 and Dec. 31,, the Medway Police Department responded to
hundreds of calls, many related to motor vehicle violations and accidents, general traffic
enforcement, suspicious and disabled motor vehicles, parking violations, erratic motor
vehicle operators, various alarms (many food-related), 911 calls, road hazards and
wires down, radar requests, various disturbances, lockouts, lost/stolen items, property
damage, suspicious persons, fraud, larceny (credit card, check), shoplifting, neighbor
disputes, and warrant service. Medway also assisted other departments, including
Bellingham, Franklin, Holliston, Hopedale, Hopkinton, Medfield, Milford, Millis, and
Sherborn.

Nov. 23 at 12:23 p.m., Rolling Meadow Dr., animal control. Caller reported she has a
lost dog contained in her car.
Nov. 24 at 9:01 a.m., Henry St., animal control. Caller reported hearing a dog “that
sounds like it’s in pain” in the area. Unfounded.
Nov. 24 at 10:50 a.m., Summer St., fire alarm, MFD and MPD responded
Nov. 24 at 11:18 a.m., Gray Squirrel Dr., carbon monoxide investigation
Nov. 24 at 12:30 p.m., Shamrock Ln., larceny by check
Nov. 24 at 12:49 p.m., Main St., assault or assault & battery (A&B)
Nov. 24 at 2:04 p.m., Holliston St., vandalism
Nov. 24 at 10:27 p.m., Main St., fire alarm. 911 caller reported her fire alarm was
chirping. MFD and MPD responded. MFD reported slight smoke conditions caused by a
plastic pot on the heater.
Nov. 25 at 6:43 p.m., Legion Ave., animal control. Caller reported his dog “has gone
after his family member and the dog is locked in a room.”
Nov. 25 at 7:46 p.m., Winthrop St., motor vehicle violation. Police out with motor
vehicles attempting to go through road closures.
Nov. 26 at 1:01 p.m., disturbance. Caller reports the area is “being overrun by juveniles
on e-bikes and bicycles riding in and out of traffic.”
Nov. 27 at 6:59 a.m., Village St., fire investigation. Received several calls of a loud
boom in the area of Village and Holliston Streets. Fuses blown, Eversource called.
Nov. 27 at 1:52 p.m., Village St., structure fire. 911 caller reported an oven fire. MFD
reported heavy smoke, fire self-extinguished and house self-vented.
Nov. 28 at 7:56 p.m., Holliston St., larceny. Call received that a female may be getting
scammed to use the bitcoin machine.
Nov. 28 at 1:23 p.m., Main St., municipal property damage. Caller reported a vehicle
turned onto Winthrop from Main St., went over the median, struck a sign, and continued
on Winthrop. MPD discovered the sign was partially attached and in the median.
Nov. 29 at 7:07 p.m., Main St., disturbance. 911 caller reported his three nieces are
arguing and causing a disturbance.
Dec. 2 at 7:21 p.m., Fairway Ln., animal control. Caller reported a squirrel in her pantry
closet.
Dec. 3 at 7:59 p.m., Willow Pond Cir., fire investigation. MFD found problem was a gas
leak in the AC unit.
Dec. 4 at 12:48 p.m., Summer St., illegal burn
Dec. 4 at 1:24 p.m., Goldenrod Dr., larceny. Caller reported he noticed on his Ring
camera that the delivery driver stole a credit card being delivered to his residence on
Monday.
Dec. 6 at 12:02 a.m., Forest Rd., vandalism
Dec. 6 at 10:40 p.m., Main St., arrest. A 31-year-old Kent, Washington male was
arrested and charged with license not in possession, negligent operation of a motor
vehicle, OUI liquor.
Dec. 9 at 10:10 a.m., Norfolk Ave., identity fraud
Dec. 9 at 12:13 p.m., Main St., keep the peace
Dec. 10 at 1:36 p.m., Main St., motor vehicle violation. A 37-year-old Medway male was
charged with operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, subsequent offense;
and uninsured motor vehicle.
Dec. 11 at 7:01 p.m., Cherokee Ln., tree down. MFD reported a small branch in the
roadway, branch removed.
Dec. 11 at 10:16 p.m., Fairway Ln., suspicious person. 911 caller reported a male and
female party knocking on their door and ringing the doorbell. Described as a middle-
aged man and woman with a small dog. MPD unable to find individuals.
Dec. 13 at 3:09 p.m., John St., brush fire
Dec. 15 at 11:36 a.m., Evergreen St., structure fire.
Dec. 18 at 2:29 p.m., Island Rd., animal control. Caller reported a raccoon inside his
garage.
Dec. 19 at 77:11 a.m., Summer St., animal control. Caller reported a bat in the
bathroom.
Dec. 19 at 10:12 a.m., Waterview Dr., neighbor dispute
Dec. 21 at 10:04 p.m., Milford St., arrest. A 50-year-old Millis male was charged with
unsafe operation of a motor vehicle, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, OUI liquor
second offense.
Dec. 22 at 8:32 a.m., Blueberry Hill Rd., identity fraud
Dec. 24 at 10:07 p.m., Highland St., fireworks
Dec. 27 at 12:29 a.m., Sherborn, provided mutual aid for fire
Dec. 28 at 6:59 p.m., Main St., shoplifting
Dec. 29 at 1:16 p.m., Main St., illegal dumping
Dec. 30 at 10:47 a.m., Evergreen St., keep the peace
Dec. 30 at 1:03 p.m., Boundary Ln., missing person located
Dec. 31 at 10:53 a.m., Malloy St., structure fire
Dec. 31 at 9:30 p.m., Curtis Ln., disturbance, loud music
