Meet this year’s Millis student writer

Hi everyone! My name is Taryn Streck, and I’m a new student writer from Millis High School. I’m a senior at MHS and serve as President and Executive Editor for The Crimson Post, President of MHS DECA, and Secretary for our National Honor Society chapter.
I love absolutely everything that I can use as a creative outlet, whether it’s writing newspaper articles, drawing with colored pencils, whittling away on the clarinet, looking into the history of baseball cards, or composing extensive movie reviews to send to my friends. I spend most of my time creating art and managing operations for my sports card non-profit, Cardboard That Cares (Check out @cardboardthatcares on Instagram if you have any cards you’d like to donate; proceeds go to local veterans and pet shelters!). I also love spending time with my friends, learning new things, and listening to all kinds of music.
Next year, I’d like to continue my education by studying something in the realm of biology or international relations. I’m fascinated by the social and scientific processes that allow our world to function.
I’m super excited to be a part of this newspaper and to access a platform where I can share stories about all the exciting happenings at Millis High School!
