On Sept. 20, the Medway Historical Society and the Lions Club brought back the “Endless Summer Cruise In” after a 20-year hiatus. 

“It’s been on hiatus for a couple of decades now, and it’s been a huge success,” said Medway Historical Society President Sheila Dubrawski before the awards were announced. She thanked everyone for attending, and thanked all of the volunteers – especially Annemarie Fontecchio and Jim McCarthy - for their efforts.

Organizers say 150 vehicle were in the show, and estimate 400 people attended the event.

Admission to the event was $5, although children under 12 and adults over 75 were admitted free. The proceeds will benefit the Medway Historical Society for restoration, education, and a future museum and displays.

The parking lot at the Parks & Recreation building at 123 Holliston Street was filled with antique vehicles of all makes, models, colors, years, and a few different countries. The family-friendly event included music, food, vendors, a 50/50 raffle, and more. 

Nico Gomez, 10, of Medway, enjoyed the event. “It’s cool. I like the old cars and I like all the different styles.” He said he really liked the Fords. 

And so did the judges, as the Best of Show went to a 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe. 

The People’s Choice award went to a 1960 Dodge Polara (which also won Best Restored).
