Medway Garden Club honored

The Medway Garden Club was recently honored by the Medway Select Board for their efforts to beautify and maintain the gardens at the Medway Police and Fire Stations, the Medway Public Library, the planters at 176 Main Street, and the island gardens at the intersections of Holliston and Main Streets (route 109).
The praise was graciously accepted by the club members present. In recognizing the self-funded hardworking volunteers, Select Board member Glen Trindade noted that volunteers like these ladies are what make good communities, great communities.
The next meeting of the Medway Garden Club will take place on Sept. 9 at the Medway Senior Center, where members create decorative pots for their table at the Medway Townwide Yard Sale taking place later in the month (be sure to look for them there).
