Medway Garden Club announces officers, July program

Jun 26, 2025 03:31PM ● By Staff Member

The Medway Garden Club would like to extend its sincere appreciation to all who came to our Annual Plant Sale and contributed to its success. This is our major fundraiser and will allow us to continue to beautify the areas around Medway such as the police and fire stations, the library, the islands at 109 and Holliston Street, and those lovely planter boxes on Main Street.

At our June meeting, the installation of officers was held, and a delightful meal was enjoyed by all. Nancy Vinton will be returning as our President, as well as Maryalice Kenney as our Treasurer, Kathy Andrews will be our new secretary, and Teresa Schultz-Jones and Susan Bouchard are going to share the functions of correspondence and social media.

Nancy was presented with a thank-you gift from the members in appreciation for all her efforts. A lovely Goatsbeard plant, a flowering perennial native to North America and a member of the rose family, is a perfect addition to Nancy’s shady yard.

In July, the Club will be touring the Old Exit 17 Farm in Franklin.

In September, our regularly scheduled meetings will resume at the Medway Senior Center on the second Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. We are looking forward to new projects and programs, including a flower pot decorating workshop, a flower arranging workshop, and guest speakers for enrichment and entertainment.

The Garden Club encompasses all levels of gardeners, from beginners to Master Gardeners. New members are always welcome and encouraged to reach out to: [email protected] or on our Facebook page, Medway Garden Club.
