The first Annual Appeal from the Friends of the Millis Public Library is off to a strong start, through letters sent to Millis businesses and emails to library supporters. 

The “Friends” are pleased to announce that the first businesses to commit to support Millis library programs are Dan’s Barbershop on Exchange Street and Timberline Farms where pick-your-own blueberries will be in abundance after the 4th of July. We hope residents will reach out and thank them for their support.

While the Town’s budget supports library staffing, it is primarily the Friends of the Millis Public Library who underwrite the many programs that make the Library a hub of activity for all ages.  Thanks to the support of its community members, the library offers Summer Reading programs for children and teens, Teen Movie Night, Writers Space, Board Game Night, special programs during school breaks, Memory Café, Millis Reads, Lego Club, museum passes, and more. A tax-deductible donation to the Friends of the Millis Public Library will continue funding the resources used to keep most of these programs free or low-fee.
