What Does Support Look Like For You?

SUPPORT. We all need it, many times throughout our lives. What makes asking for help so hard when needing support is such a universal experience? Perhaps one of the barriers to getting help is that one person’s needs may look very different than what another person needs. Others may not be sure where to turn.
In this Medway-Millis region, there are a variety of supports, in many different forms. As a drug prevention coalition, ‘SUP Medway has been curating a list of all types of resources from programs to hotlines, support groups to treatment centers. As a free service, this ever-growing list has now been transformed into an interactive support finder with all of the resources either local to this region or available online or by phone. At WWW.SUPMEDWAY.COM you can narrow the local resources with filters such as “online” vs “in person”, or “one-on-one” vs “group”. There are even free, anonymous text or chat options.
Here are just some a few reasons you may want to look into the services and supports available:
• Are your coping strategies no longer working for you?
• Have you lost a loved one to substance use?
• Do you care for a teen hooked on nicotine?
• Are you ready to learn how to respond to an opioid overdose?
• Are you curious if your drinking is becoming a problem?
• Are you looking for an anonymous way to reduce overdose risk?
• Do you want to see what’s available so you can share if someone is in need?
Find the resources that match your needs and preferences - for you or a loved one - at www.SUPMedway.com. If there are additional resources not listed here that we should consider, or if a link is no longer working, please email us at [email protected].
