Millis Memory Café to meet Jan. 27
Join us in 2025 at the Millis Public Library for the Millis Memory Café, a welcoming setting for people with forgetfulness or other changes in their thinking, and for their family and friends.
The purpose of a Memory Cafe is to provide a supportive and accepting environment where people can enjoy a performance or learn something new, while also having the opportunity to socialize with others who are going through a similar experience. It is a place to put limitations aside and instead focus on strengths.
Each Café event features a guest performer or interactive activity as well as time for socializing. Coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be provided. This program is free of charge and does not require registration. All are welcome, there is no need to either have or disclose any sort of diagnosis.
The Millis Memory Café will be held at the Millis Public Library in the Roche Brothers Community Room. It will generally be held the 4th Monday of each month from 10:30 am – 12:00 noon. Please visit: millislibrary.org/memorycafe for dates and times and to find out about guest performers and activities. Dates will also be posted on the Library’s Calendar of Events.
Funding for this program is provided by the Friends of the Millis Public Library. Coffee donation provided by New England Coffee. Addtional sponsorship opportunities are available. Anyone with questions should not hesitate to contact Kim Tolson at [email protected] or 508-376-8282.
