Millis Recreation Thanksgiving Food Challenge

Millis Lions Club President Ron Paulo and Secretary Mike O’Shaughnessy

On Oct. 29, Millis Recreation, through our Middle School/High School community service platform “Millis Rec. Serves,” held the Thanksgiving Food Challenge food drive to benefit the Millis Food Pantry. Teams were pitted against each other to generate the largest number of designated Thanksgiving food items.
Team Lions Club came in first place and won $350, which was sponsored by Ambassador, LLC. The Millis Lions Club generously donated their winnings back to the Food Pantry!
Team Nytro, MPD K-9 took second place and won $150, which was sponsored by Meaghan Quilop, Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant.
Team SAFE Coalition brought home third place and won $50, which was sponsored by Steves Rentals.
Through healthy competition and community teamwork, we were able to collect 549 individual Thanksgiving food items for the Millis Food Pantry. We couldn’t be prouder of our community!
