In November, State Fire Marshal Peter J. Ostroskey and Massachusetts Firefighting Academy (MFA) leadership presented certificates of completion to 22 graduating recruits including Firefighter Patrick Weaver of Medway.

The ceremony took place at the Department of Fire Services’ campus in Bridgewater.

 MFA Class #BW22 represents the fire departments of Abington, Avon, Bourne, Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills, Dennis, Duxbury, Eastham, Harwich, Hingham, Medway, Norton, Orleans, Sharon, Truro, and West Bridgewater.

The MFA (which marked its 50th anniversary last year) provides recruit and in-service training at three separate campuses and has graduated over 14,000 firefighters in more than 450 classes.
