Millis Theatre Group presents “Laugh out loud with “Arsenic and Old Lace”

Two murderous old ladies, a Theodore Roosevelt impersonator, a Boris Karloff look-alike and a theater critic in love!  Millis Theatre Group presents a revival of the classic “Arsenic and Old Lace” by Joseph Kesserling.  An infectiously funny dark comedy!  The play is directed by Marty BlackEagle, who also directed the spring production of  “The Addams Family” in April.
What could be better than a drama critic that hates theater, two elder aunts who murder lonely men as an act of charity, a homocidal brother with plastic surgery to look like Boris Karloff, and the result is a mix of laugh-out-loud and macabre mayhem.
The play was inspired by real-life serial killer Amy Archer-Gilligan, who was convicted of poisoning her boarders for their pensions.
Performances are Friday October 14, Saturday October 15, Friday October 21 and Saturday October 22 at 7:30 pm at Millis High School Auditorium, 245 Plain Street, Millis.  Pre-sale tickets are $15.00 in advance for adults, $10.00 for seniors and students.  At the door adult tickets are $20.00 and senior/students are $10.00.  Tickets and information are available at www.millistheatre.org.
