Millis Lions and Millis Garden Club plan 17th Millis Beautification Day for April 30

The Millis Garden Club and the Millis Lions, co-sponsors of Millis Beautification Day, are calling on residents to show pride in Millis by supporting the town-wide event on Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Volunteers of all ages are needed to help beautify Millis by removing trash, litter, and brush from designated town-owned land such as Town Hall, Clyde Brown School, and Richardson’s Pond, as well as along main roads.
If you are a part of a troop (scouts, military) or a group (book, friends, sports, church, civic), consider volunteering and working as a team at one site.
Last year, community volunteers made a big difference in just a couple of hours. Old blinds, metal curtain rods, and piles of building debris were among the items collected in oversized trash bags. Those who are not able to participate are encouraged to support the civic pride day by cleaning and beautifying around their own areas.
Register in advance at [email protected] or by calling Jen at 508-667-4326 or Janet at 508-794-1260.
This year’s cleanup event is being chaired by Jen Donehey of the Millis Lions and Janet Gashler of the Millis Garden Club.
