Medway Resident Named Foundation for Metrowest “Campaign Champion”

ONEmetrowest Fund Campaign Hopes for 1,000 Donors by Year-End

A Medway resident has been named a “Campaign Champion” by the Foundation for MetroWest, the only community foundation serving the MetroWest region of Greater Boston. Christine Miller, associate general counsel for ArcLight Capital Partners, LLC, in Boston, is one of 47 MetroWest residents who have been tasked with engaging their neighbors and fellow community members to strengthen the Foundation’s role as a connector, partner, and resource for the 33 cities and towns that make up the region. Miller is a strong supporter of the Foundation’s mission and currently serves on its Board of Trustees. “The Foundation for MetroWest is the crucial link between our neighbors who need additional support and community members who want to help those neighbors through their various challenges,” Miller said. “The Foundation has a deep understanding of our region and the needs of the people within it. I’m grateful to be part of an organization that is constantly working to maintain and improve our collective quality of life, and I’m excited to teach others about the exceptional work it does.” ONEmetrowest is engaging the Foundation’s longstanding supporters as well as community members who are new to the organization’s mission by collectively exploring the issues, opportunities, and voices that unite the 33 cities and towns of the region. The campaign is mobilizing neighbors to increase engagement throughout the region, creating new connections to foster meaningful discussion and debate, and strengthening support for the organizations and nonprofits that contribute to MetroWest’s unique community and character. Nearly 600 donors have already contributed to the ONEmetrowest Campaign since it launched in September. “For a quarter-century, and particularly during these challenging times, our community has turned to the Foundation for support,” said Judy Salerno, executive director, Foundation for MetroWest. “Now, through ONEmetrowest, we’re asking our community to show its collective support for our organization. Our remarkable Campaign Champions are critical to the success of this effort, and the overall success of our Foundation and community.” The campaign is an extension of the Foundation’s 2020 key initiatives, including emergency relief efforts, celebrating its 25th anniversary, and revitalizing Impact MetroWest with additional data on race and equity indicators in the region. Additionally, the Foundation’s new series, “Voices of MetroWest,” will amplify diverse voices with unique perspectives and convene community members in a series of virtual town hall events aimed at elevating meaningful and impactful discourse.
