Medway Christmas Parade on Nov. 25

The 31st annual Medway Christmas Parade will take place on Sat., Nov. 25 at 5:30 p.m.
This wonderful spectacular event is typically viewed by more than 8,000 people from Medway and surrounding communities. The parade will include a large number of fire apparatus from cities and towns from all over Massachusetts, floats from commercial businesses and community organizations, plus antique vehicles.
The parade kicks off from Medway High School promptly at 5:30 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 25 and will proceed along Summer St. to Milford St., down Franklin St., to Village St. to Holliston St. (in Medway Village) to Main St. to finish at Choate Park.
The Choate Park and Thayer House festivities will continue with a presentation of this year’s Grand Marshall honoring now-retired Lt. Mathew Reardon for his 28 years of dedicated service to the Medway Police Dept. and Town of Medway.
Choat Park will feature the annual Christmas light presentation and end with a dazzling fireworks display; and the Thayer House will host Santa Claus where children can have photos taken at no charge.
In case of inclement weather, the fireworks will be held on Sun., Nov. 26.
Community participation is encouraged with commercial floats required to provide a minimum donation for each business float or sign displayed. Any surplus funds are used to purchase LED light fixtures for Choate Park. Donations can be made to the Medway Christmas Parade, 155 Village St., Medway, MA 02053.
