Southeastern MA Community Concert Band

Join us at the Center on Monday, September 18th from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM to listen to the Southeastern MA Community Band. This event is free but please sign up for planning purposes. 508-533-3210

PLAINVILLE CASINO TRIP

Join us on Tuesday, September 12th for a return trip to the Plainridge Park Casino in Plainville, MA. The bus will leave the Center at 10:00 AM and return at 2:00 PM. Space is limited; call or stop by the Center to sign up. 508-533-3210

FUEL ASSISTANCE

If you were approved for Fuel Assistance last year, you will be receiving a pre-printed application form in the Fall from SMOC (South Middlesex Opportunity Council) for the 2023-2024 heating season. To avoid delays in receiving your benefits, gather all your documents early and schedule an appointment with the Outreach department. We will review everything with you so you can submit your renewal application. If you don’t receive your form by August 31st, contact Outreach.  Note, the process for new applicants begins November 1, 2023.

MEDICARE 101

Turning 65 soon or retiring and in need of health insurance through Medicare? If so, please join Jean Roy, SHINE Councilor for Medway and Judy Higgins, SHINE Councilor from Bellingham, on Tuesday, September 19th @ 6:00 pm at the Bellingham Library located on 100 Blackstone Street. The basics of Medicare will be reviewed. Call the Bellingham Senior Center @ 508 966-0398 to reserve a spot. 


Fashion Era Presentation

Join us on Wednesday, September 6th @ 11:00 am as we travel through the fascinating decades of the ‘30’s, ‘40’s and ‘50’s and enjoy a glimpse into that golden age of fashion!  Presented by Ren Antonowicz. Please call or stop by to sign up.

The Yellow Dot Program

Come learn about this free program offered by the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office. This program provides quick access to first responders to critical medical information about the occupants of the automobile. Representatives from the Sheriff’s office will be at the center on  Wednesday, September 13th @ 9:30 am to explain the details of the program and enroll people. Limited space so reserve a spot today.

Flu Clinic

On Thursday, September 21st from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, the Milford Central Pharmacy will be holding a flu clinic at the center. For more information, contact the Medway Health Department @ 508-533-3206.

Veterans Agent Meet and Greet

Come to the center to meet our newest veteran agent, Richard Sabonjain, for informal conversation and information on Thursday, September 14th @ 12:00 pm. Lunch (optional) is available at the Oakland Café. Sign up at the center to join. 

Lego Lunch

Join us for lunch ($5.00) on Tuesday, September 19th at Noon for lunch and Lego contest! Work with your table mates to build your best creation and will a prize! All welcome. Sign up required. 

Town Wide Yard Sale

On Saturday, September 23rd, the Friends of Elders will be participating in the town wide yard sale with proceeds to benefit the Friends. Come by the center, rain or shine, and support a great cause!

Breakfast has reopened! 

Drop in by on Wednesdays from 7:30 am to 9:30 am for a delicious breakfast! Lunch is also provided every Tuesday and Thursday for eat in or takeout. All meals are $5.00. Lunch needs to be preordered by calling the center.
