Medway Public Schools Welcoming New Assistant Principals at Middle and High Schools

Medway Middle School Principal Amanda Luizzi and High School Principal John Murray are pleased to announce the hiring of a new assistant principal at both the middle school and high school.

Ari King will be the new assistant principal at Medway Middle School.
Since August 2020, King has worked as the special education department head at Northeast Metropolitan Vocational Technical High School. King also previously worked as an assistant principal within the Stoughton Public Schools. Prior, King worked as a special education teacher within the Framingham Public Schools, at Dearborn Academy and in the Peabody Public Schools.
"MPS embodies many of my important core values that lead to successful learning," said King. "After meeting with students and staff I was impressed by the energy and enthusiasm they brought toward learning and growing. I am excited to support the teaching that has already helped so many students develop the academic skills necessary to succeed."
King holds a Master of Management from Endicott College, a master's degree in teaching from Simmons College and a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Lori Stattenfield
Lori Stattenfield will be the new assistant principal at Medway High School.
Since August 2021, Stattenfield has worked as the assistant principal at Tantasqua Regional High School in Fiskdale. There, she assisted with overall administration of the building, and planned and facilitated a working group to update and revise select curriculum for grades 9-12. Stattenfield has also worked as the history department curriculum supervisor and as teacher at Tantasqua Regional High School.
Prior to the Tantasqua Regional School District, she worked as a history teacher at Deerfield Academy, Amherst Regional High School and Herndon High School in Virginia.
“I am so excited to be joining Medway Public Schools. I’ve been able to visit the high school several times, and I continue to be impressed by Medway’s strong sense of community and by the commitment the faculty and staff have to ensure that every student reaches their full potential,” said Stattenfield. “I know we are all enjoying the summer, but I am anxious to see the classrooms, stages, and athletic fields alive with students this fall!”
Stattenfield holds a Master of Education in secondary history education from Wake Forest University, and a bachelor's degree in history from Colby College.
King will begin in the role on July 10, and Stattenfield on July 17.
